I got some devastating news today from an old friend who I just found out has breast cancer. It’s a punch in the gut to where it makes it hard for me to think.
Apparently her insurance would put her on a waiting list to get treatment but it would take 2 years before she could get it. If she gets treatment herself it will take about $40,000 dollars. I’m stunned by this! What kind of healthcare system do we have in this country?!
She’s starting a GoFundMe because waiting could be deadly. All I want to do now is help her however I can, so I’ll assemble as much information for you as I can find. Please take the time to donate and repost the information to as many people as you can.
Amber Lynn left me a voicemail which I answered with a phone call as soon as I was able to get my messages. Basically, boiled down, she said this:
“Hi Steve, it’s Amber Lynn… I have a PR that is going out with a GoFundMe. It turns out that I have a very serious problem and am facing emergency surgery as soon as possible.”
She let me know that she’s releasing the information and details are coming. She wanted to talk to me first though.
“It is going to be a GoFundMe that [will be for] my people, fans, and whoever can, support me to get
this surgery. It’s massive, pretty serious… Thank you, bye-bye.”

From Amber:
An Important Update: My Health Crisis and Journey, here is the update.
In early February, I woke up experiencing sudden, severe pain and swelling in my breast that seemed to come out of nowhere… One of my breast implants has ruptured, and the silicone has migrated into my lymph nodes.
I was additionally shocked to find out the implants I received years ago as part of a medical study are Allergan 410 “cohesive gummy bear” implants, recalled by the FDA in 2019 due to a documented link to a rare, potentially life-threatening cancer called Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). I am experiencing all of the associated symptoms. What is especially distressing is that I was never notified of this recall – not by the manufacturer, and not by the doctor who originally performed my surgery.
What should have been a straightforward removal and revision procedure has now become a much more complicated and extensive surgery. As someone who has spent my life mostly supporting others’ causes, this isn’t an easy place for me to be in.
For those who have expressed a desire to help during this difficult time, your support would mean more than I can put into words.
A GoFundMe page is now live with the full story. If you’re in a position to donate, every contribution goes directly toward my surgical and follow-up care. And if that’s not possible right now, please just share the link. Either way, I appreciate you more than I can say. Thank you for helping me access the urgent medical care I need.
Much love, appreciation, and respect.
Amber Lynn
